How Pretty Are You?
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder what must God see as He looks at us? God looks not on the outside but he looks deep into the soul where true beauty lies. For what is in the heart is what shows on the face. What so ever a man thinketh in his heart so is he. Let us be thankful God looks not on the face but on the heart. He is most interested in what is in our hearts and not what is on our face. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness. Romans 10:10 Logic and education do not enter into the picture. It is not our head that needs to be changed it is our heart. Remember when Jesus was walking and talking with two of his disciples that afterward they said “did our hearts not burn within us?”
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. 1 Peter 3:15
The heart of man is wicked and is in need of cleansing. The blood of Jesus washes the heart of sin not the head. When you have a change of heart the world looks new and different. For where your heart is so there is your treasure.
When God looks at your heart what picture does he see? Is Jesus in your head or in your heart?
Head salvation won’t get you to heaven heart salvation will.
